Syringa Campground Pumphouse/Reservoir Upgrade

Another pump house and water treatment facility finished and operational!

This pump house is located in Syringa Provincial Park near Castlegar, British Columbia. The system pumps and treats water from a newly drilled well and stores it in a reservoir for use in the campground and day use areas.

At Stephen Electrical & Pump Service, we have experience in all areas of utility servicing including freshwater and treatment, wastewater and electrical. If you have a project we’re happy to help!

Pipe Fusion

It was a toasty couple of days of hand digging and packing tools up the hill to the Syringa park reservoir but we got the cross-connection pipe fusion between the transmission and supply water lines done!

Wire Pull

Our longest wire pull to date! As part of our Syringa water supply upgrade project, we were required to pull in 1600M of 3 pair 18 gauge cable. The cable is for communication between the reservoir level sensor and the PLC located at the pump shed.

We ran into a couple challenges with this pull; broken pull strings, long stretches between pull boxes and managing copious amounts of wire but we got the job done.

Pump Installation

Being able to adjust on the fly is vital for construction projects. When the pipe threads on this 2" stainless drop pipe just wouldn't thread into the couplers, our mechanical guy quickly rented a pipe threader and we completed our well pump installation without a hitch.

This well is part of the water treatment project we are undertaking for BC Parks in Syringa Provincial Park. The treatment facility will supply treated water for the campground and day-use areas.
